Cutting instructions For Table Runner
Step 1
Fabric A
Cut a strip of fabric 6 ½ inches
wide by the width of the fabric. Cut the 3- 6 ½ inch squares from
that strip.
For the borders cut 3- 2 ½ inch
strips and set theses aside
Fabric B
Cut 1 – 2 ½ inch strip the width
of the fabric if using cut yardage. From that strip cut 12- 2 ½
squares
If using a Fat Quarter cut 2- 2 ½
inch strips and cut your 2 ½ inch squares from those strips
Binding -Cut 3 – 2 inch strips from
cut yardage, If using Fat quarter cut 6-2 inch strips (this should
pretty much finish the fat quarter. Set these aside for the
binding.
Fabric C*
Cut 1 -7.25 inch strip the width of
the fabric, cut 3- 7 ¼ inch squares from the strip.
Cut a strip 4 inches wide by the width
of the fabric. Cut 6 – 4 inch squares from the strip.
If you are using a Fat quarter cut 2-
7 ¼ inch X 18 inch strips ( cut across the narrow end of the FQ)
Cut 2-7 ½ inch squares from the 1st
strip, cut the 3rd from the 2nd . You should be
able to cut 2- 4 inch squares
from what's left of the 2nd
strip.
Cut 1- 4 inch X 18 inch strip and cut
the remaining 4 – 4 inch squares.
Fabric D *
Cut 1- 4 inch strip the width of the
fabric, Cut 6-4 inch squares from that strip. From the rest of the
strip
cut 4-3 7/8 inch squares or as many as
you can get.
Cut 1- 3 7/8 inch strip the width of
the fabric and cut the rest of the 3 7/8 inch squares. You will need
a total
12.
For a Fat quarter you can get the 4
inch squares from one 4 inch strip cut across the 18 inches
For the 3 7/8 inch squares cut the
rest of the FQ into 4-3 7/8 inch X 18 inch strips to get your 12 -3
7/8 inch
squares.
*For these two fabric especially if
you are using cut yardage (the ½ yard as opposed to Fat Quarters)
you can give yourself some wiggle room if you cut the squares
slightly bigger like 4 1/8 inch instead of 4 inches.
4 inches instead of 3 7/8 and 7 5/8
instead of 7 ¼.
